Research interests of Jim Tørresen
My research interests at the moment include bio-inspired computing/artificial intelligence/machine learning,
reconfigurable computing, adaptable systems, robotics, 3D-printing and motion tracking and analysis.
I am interested in how different technologies and methods
can be combined for designing systems for complex applications (currently within mental health care monitoring and treatment,
technology for elderly care at home, decision support for cancer treatment ++).
In particular I find the following topics of special interest:
- Incremental evolution of systems.
- On-line adaptable/reconfigurable systems.
- Designing systems for real-world applications.

collaboration both with people involved in research on the topics above, as
well as people working on specific applications, where the methods
